Modular Modular Laboratory Providing a Cytotoxic Pharmacy, Wirral This project demonstrates the quality and innovative approach of ModuleCo's modern methods of construction and achieves a high quality external appearance in line with the existing architecture.

The requirement. The Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology NHS Trust required a Modular Laboratory to house their Cytotoxic Pharmacy facility. It was designed and manufactured to fit at first floor level with a link to the existing building, in-keeping with the existing architecture. This would complete the Oncology Centre and provide the Trust with a fast-track solution with the least amount of disruption to the large hospital site.

The solution. ModuleCo offered an off-site construction solution to provide a state of the art modular cytotoxic pharmacy, architecturally designed and built to the highest standards, further eliminating the old perceptions about modular buildings.

				Brick cladding was sampled and matched to the surrounding architecture. A specific request by the client was that sheet cladding covered the steel work and original roof to give a maintenance free facility. The facility was manufactured, delivered and fully commissioned to provide a full turnkey solution.

The Result. Using modern off-site construction techniques, ModuleCo achieved a full-functional modular cytotoxic pharmacy within the programme time desired, with minimal disruption to the hospital. The facility comprises two aseptic suites, a gene therapy suite, a cold room, 5 office suites, a storage room and a disabled access lift.
