Quality control of modular construction |

One of the biggest problems on any construction project is ensuring a high quality is maintained throughout the various stages of the build. On a traditional build project where site conditions are often less than ideal, maintaining a high level of quality is difficult which, in turn, leads to long drawn out snagging periods at the end of the project. | |||||||
| Off-site modular construction makes possible a far higher degree of quality control than a traditional construction project due to the factory controlled environment in which the Pre-Assembled Units (PAUs) are constructed. | ||||||||
| Both contractor and client are able to ‘prove’ the building before installation on site, reducing the amount of snagging and call-backs at a later stage. ModuleCo drives towards a true off-site solution. Using modular construction we can ensure the majority of the internal fit-out and mechanical and electrical installations are completed in the factory under conditions where quality control can be guaranteed. |

| Using dedicated teams and appropriate equipment and materials, our strategy of manufacturing within a controlled factory environment ensures that the work is regularly inspected according to a quality assurance regime. Combined with regular feedback this, in turn, leads to continuous improvement. We positively encourage the client to conduct off-site inspections of the work during the factory phase, prior to delivery. These give assurance over the quality of the installation before the building arrives on site. ModuleCo’s Quality System is ISO 9001:2000 certified. |
