Following a successful competitive tender ModuleCo Pharma was chosen as the preferred supplier for a BSL-2 Quality Control Facility forming part of a vaccine testing process on site. Through six weeks of scheme design and eight weeks of detailed design we worked closely with the client and their consultants to develop a final design compliant to EU, GMP and Client Standards/Guides.
The BSL-2 facility comprises testing rooms and incubation rooms, with integrated cage washer and air showers to maintain a BSL-2 boundary. Within the building footprint all major M&E plant is provided with an incoming water feed, data and power link to ensure “plug and play” installation.
Overlooking residential developments meant the scheme had a number of particularly sensitive planning conditions. We carefully planned the installation and delivery of the modules so as to not impact the local residents, and by maximising the off-site fit-out we were able to install all 20 modules in just 4 days.
