Every ModuleCo modular healthcare facility is designed in line with the latest Health Building Notes (HBN) and Health Technical Memoranda (HTM) guidance issued by the Department of Health and Social Care.

Our extensive off-site construction capabilities enable us to design, build and manage even the most technically complex modular healthcare buildings - at any scale. Whether it is a single module diagnostic imaging facility or a complete hospital, we have the expertise and capacity to deliver state-of-the-art facilities quickly and efficiently, in line with our clients' needs.

Every facility is designed to meet the specific requirements of the hospital, making the most of the available space, while tailoring equipment and finishes to its clinical function and the existing estate.

Healthcare Construction

We provide services and support for all aspects of a healthcare construction project so our clients benefit in needing only one partner. We offer direct support for all aspects of the project, starting from business case, and including a complete design service, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and project management, as well as managing the required enabling works.

We carry out up to 90% of the construction off-site in our factory facilities, providing total control over the manufacturing process. This reduces on-site programme, disruption and costs, as well as increasing programme predictability and price certainty.

Our in-house design team brings 20 years of experience in modular construction and over 15 years in specialist healthcare facility design. Every design is tailored to the specific hospital and clinical application, including surgical theatres, wards, diagnostic imaging units, and other specialist facilities — with full adherence to HTM and HBN guidance.

Royal Orthopaedic Hospital partnered with ModuleCo to build a four operating theatre surgical department with first stage recovery and 20-bed ward.

Flexible Procurement

We are accredited on NHS Shared Business Services, Crown Commercial Service, and NHS Commercial Solutions frameworks, enabling fast-tracked, OJEU-compliant procurement. Our flexible procurement options are designed to suit a wide range of requirements, including both purchase and hire solutions.

Our IFRS 16-compliant hire agreements offer the same exceptional-quality facilities as our purchase options, with terms ranging from no minimum commitment up to 15 years.
