ModuleCo successfully completed the installation of 10 cutting-edge operating theatres within a span of 6 weeks for NHS hospitals located in Leicestershire, Worcestershire, and in and around London.
The initial installation took place at Leicester General Hospital, where ModuleCo delivered a twin operating theatre for University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust at the end of February. This facility will temporarily operate as a standalone unit, utilising one of the theatre suites as a recovery and discharge area, while crucial refurbishment works are carried out elsewhere in the hospital.
Following that, a challenging task awaited our project team as they installed another twin operating theatre for Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust at Guy’s Hospital in Central London. The site posed difficulties due to its narrow width, measuring a mere 19 meters in places, and required precise crane positioning, with the crane positioned only 4 inches away from an existing building during certain lifts.
Subsequently, ModuleCo proceeded to install 2 operating theatre suites for Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. Then last but by no means least, we delivered a surgical hub consisting of 4 theatres for a renowned orthopaedic hospital in the Greater London area.
ModuleCo’s ability to design, manufacture, and deliver numerous world-class operating theatres to multiple sites within such a limited timeframe is a key factor that solidifies our position as the leading provider of operating theatres to the NHS.
